Casey Smith is currently General Counsel for Rocky View School Division. After many years in private practice focusing on Litigation and Employment Law, Casey now puts his efforts into protecting the interests of the School Division. His work involves contractual analysis and negotiation, risk mitigation, labour and employment and litigation management. Casey enjoys advising executives and Boards on how to mitigate risk and taking a practical approach to resolving legal issues in a cost effective and realistic way. Casey also has a background in music, having received a M.Music from McGill University in performance.
He has performed in many groups in Calgary including Altius Brass, the Calgary Wind Symphony and the Calgary Philharmonic Chorus but finds most of his time now guiding his four boys in their many adventures and endeavours.
