50/50 Raffle

1. Players must reside in Alberta, be 18 years or older, and use a major credit card, Visa Debit, or
MasterCard Debit. Credit cards used for payment must have an Alberta Address.
2. Ticket buyers must not write the name of a person under the age of 18 on a ticket.
3. Eligibility: Employees of Calgary Philharmonic Society, including its Board of Directors, and members of
their immediate family (defined as residing in the same household) are NOT eligible to participate
(defined as purchase tickets or receive prizes) in the 50/50 Raffle. Calgary Philharmonic Society
Volunteers are eligible to participate (defined as purchase tickets or receive prizes).
4. Tickets will be available online and sold at a rate of:
a. 1 for $10 – Series A
b. 4 for $20 – Series B
c. 20 for $50 – Series C
d. 100 for $100 – Series D
5. No Refunds: All ticket sales are final. There will be no refunds issued, including if a ticket purchaser made
an error in selecting the number of tickets they desire to purchase.
6. The draw is open to the public. Ticket sales will end on 28 Feb 2025 at 4:00PM MT, and the Draw will take
place on 28 Feb 2025 in Calgary Alberta at Calgary Phil, 205 8 Ave SE at 4:30PM MT.
7. The winner will receive a cash prize of 50% of ticket sales up to a maximum of $10,000, paid by cheque.
8. All ticket numbers will be provided by receipt by the registered Electronic Raffle Supplier (ERS)
(Rafflebox). A physical ticket will not be mailed out for this draw.
9. Ticket Purchasers may not transfer or resell their tickets to anyone else prior to claiming the prize.
10. No tax receipt will be issued for any portion of the price of a ticket.
11. A minimum of 100 tickets must be sold before a request for draw date extension may be made. The
new draw date would be posted on the 50/50 raffle site. These decisions are subject to the approval of
Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis (AGLC).
12. The winner will be determined by a random draw utilizing an Alberta Gaming Liquor Commission
(AGLC) registered Electronic Raffle Supplier (ERS) Random Number Generator (RNG). In the case of a
discrepancy between the posted raffle number and the actual raffle number selected through RNG,
the actual raffle number selected through RNG will be the valid winning raffle number.
13. The draw results will appear under the “Winners” tab found on the main raffle page and posted on the
Calgary Phil website: https://calgaryphil.com/
14. By playing you consent to having your name and winning numbers published.
15. The winner will be contacted by phone and email. They will have 30 days to claim their prize with
payout to follow no later than 31 March 2025. If the prize remains unclaimed after 30 days the prize will
be donated to the Calgary Philharmonic Society, upon AGLC approval.
16. In the event a winning ticket stub has more than one name on it, the prize will be awarded to only one
of the individuals identified on the ticket (the first name listed). Neither Calgary Philharmonic Society nor the AGLC are responsible for any disputes which may arise between the different individuals whose
names appear on the ticket stub.

18. Release of Liability: By entering into the Raffle, all entrants agree to: (a) be bound by these Official Rules; and (b) release Calgary Philharmonic Society (CPS) and presenting partner of the 50/50 Raffles, and their respective partners, subsidiaries and affiliates, together with the owners, employees, officers, directors, sponsors and agents of any of the foregoing (collectively, “Released Parties”) from and against any and all claims, demands, injuries, losses and liabilities whatsoever arising out of the Raffle. CPS will administer the Raffle in good faith and in the best interests of the charitable beneficiaries but shall not have any liability in connection with any decisions made in connection with the Raffle. Released Parties
(i) make no warranty, guaranty or representation of any kind concerning any prize (or any portion
thereof); and (ii) disclaim any implied warranty. CPS’s failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules
shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.
19. General Conditions. Calgary Philharmonic Society (CPS) reserves the right to modify these Official Rules
at any time. Entries which are or appear to be tampered with are void. Entries generated by a script,
macro or other mechanical or automated means will also be void. CPS shall be the sole judge of the
validity and eligibility of all entries. All Raffle Ticket purchases shall be final, and no refunds or
replacements will be issued by CPS. Raffle Tickets are only valid for the drawing held on the date of
purchase. Released Parties are not responsible for stolen, lost or mutilated entries; or for lost, interrupted
or unavailable network, cable, satellite, server, Internet Service Provider (ISP), wireless network, website, app, or other connections including those through and/or by any website or app, availability or
accessibility or miscommunications or failed computer, satellite, cable or wireless transmissions, lines, or technical failure or jumbled, scrambled, delayed, or misdirected transmissions or computer hardware or software malfunctions, failures or difficulties; any error, omission, interruption, defect or delay in transmission, processing, or communication; non-delivery; misdirected, blocked, or delayed
notifications; printing, typographical or other errors appearing within these Official Rules, in any Raffle related advertisements or other materials; or any other errors, problems or difficulties of any kind whether human, mechanical, electronic, network, computer, telephone, mail, typographical, printing or
otherwise relating to or in connection with the Raffle, including, without limitation, errors or difficulties
which may occur in connection with the administration of the Raffle, the processing of entries, the announcement of the prize or in any Raffle-related materials, or the cancellation or postponement of any game, event or exhibition. Released Parties are also not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by website users, tampering, hacking, or by any equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Raffle. Released Parties are not responsible for injury or damage to entrants’ or to any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participating in the Raffle or downloading materials from or use of the Website. CPS shall have the sole right to disqualify
any entrant for violation of these Official Rules or any applicable laws relating to the Raffle, and to
resolve all disputes in its sole discretion.
