Luminous Voices is Calgary’s new professional chamber choir. The choir’s mission is to engage audiences in exceptional choral music through stirring performances, workshops and recordings. Comprised of some of the finest ensemble singers in Calgary, the choir also brings together exceptional singers and musicians from across the continent to collaborate with local performers.
Luminous Voices was founded by Timothy Shantz in partnership with a dedicated board of directors and aims to build a reputation as a leading choral arts organization in Canada. Timothy Shantz has distinguished himself in the Canadian choral community through performances, competitions and recordings with various small and large choirs including Spiritus Chamber Choir and the Calgary Philharmonic Chorus.
The vision of Luminous Voices is to encourage the advancement of the choral art by providing a forum for collaboration among local and international artists in the development and presentation of choral music, as well as musical education programs.
