Health + Safety

What to Expect

As of 8 April 2022, Arts Commons and its resident companies, including the Calgary Philharmonic, no longer require proof of vaccination to enter its venues. Learn more about Health + Safety at Arts Commons here.

If you or any member of your group is feeling unwell, please stay home. We will provide an account credit or exchange for any ticket cancelled prior to the concert — no questions asked. Please notify us at least two hours before the concert starts by calling 403.571.0849.

The health and safety of our audience, musicians, and staff remains our top priority. We will continue to monitor the evolving COVID-19 situation and notify the public of any updates through our newsletter and on our website.

Masks

The Calgary Phil is a mask-friendly environment. It’s your choice to wear one or not, depending on your own comfort level. Please respect the reality of different pandemic experiences and other people’s choices.

Building Ventilation + Sanitation

Arts Commons, home to the Jack Singer Concert Hall, has implemented a hospital grade Ultraviolet Germicidal Irradiation (UVGI) solution in the building. This technology provides effective air sterilization through ultraviolet germicidal lights that produce short wavelength light that destroys the genetic material in the nucleus of cells of microorganisms such as bacteria, viruses, and molds. Their UVGI system is installed in the ducts of the building’s heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems and irradiates the small airborne particles containing microorganisms as the air flows through the return air ducts in the spaces. Treating the air at these locations also ensures that air exhausted from the building is also sterilized.

High traffic areas, frequently touched surfaces, and restrooms will be cleaned before, during, and after every event and hand sanitizer is available in multiple locations.
