At the CPO, we’re busy gearing up for our 2014/2015 season, which launches on May 1 at our Ode to Joy concert – featuring the world premiere of A Song of Joys by Canadian composer Stephen Chatman alongside Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony!

Disney’s Fantasia: Animated Film and Orchestra

Take your family, or for Disney lovers…just take yourself! Follow Mickey on his magical journey, with musical scores including The Nutcracker Suite, Night on Bald Mountain and Rite of Spring.

George Canyon 

Hold onto your horses Country fans…George Canyon will take the stage with the Orchestra! This concert will be during Christmas, where George will perform a mix of holiday favourites and his biggest hits.There’s no better way to celebrate the holidays!

Joshua Bell 

With a demanding international touring schedule and glittering recording career, violinist Joshua Bell is regarded as a true classical superstar. His virtuosic tone and charismatic stage presence promise to electrify the concert hall with the soaring melodies and fiery finish of Bruch’s Violin Concerto, alongside Beethoven’s powerful Symphony No. 7.

Kenny G

Saxophonist Kenny G, known for his Jazz music, is coming to Calgary! He’s worked with big-name stars including Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston and Natalie Cole. He’s also performed with Barbra Streisand, Burt Bacharach and Frank Sinatra. Check out this Superbowl Commercial where Kenny’s smooth Jazz sounds almost stops jail-breakers in their tracks.
